About Human Managed
We named the company for the part AI can't take over.
When we started, nobody was talking about agents. We named the company Human Managed anyway, because we believed the hard part of intelligence would never be producing answers. The hard part is deciding what to do with them, and answering for the result.
That belief is now the market's problem. Organisations are handing work to AI faster than they're building the accountability to match. Our answer hasn't changed: let agents carry the work, so people can decide better.
Agents take on more. People never drop to zero.
Every task is agent run, human run or human managed. What changes as a service matures is the shape of the human work: from doing tasks to setting the rules agents work within.
| Foundational | Adaptive | Autonomous | |
|---|---|---|---|
| AGENTS | Explain what changed and why it matters | Recommend responses, ranked, with trade-offs | Act within the limits you set |
| OUR PEOPLE | Check every finding before it reaches you | Review the recommendations and prepare the plan | Tune the gates and audit what agents did |
| YOUR TEAM | Makes every decision and carries out the response | Approves the plan before anything is executed | Sets the policy and owns the outcome |
What we chose
Experiences that inspire awe. Always-on outcomes. Outcomes that get cheaper as they mature.
| We chose | We turned down | |
|---|---|---|
| What we deliver | Operated outcomes | Software you have to run yourself |
| Who we serve | Essential services of any size | Only the largest enterprises |
| How it works | Agents operate, people govern the gates | Armies of break-fix operators, or agents no one can audit |
| How you pay | Priced on what outcomes achieve | Hours, seats, licences and lock-in contracts |
| What you should feel | Clear enough to decide with confidence | Quietly dependent on a machine you can't question |
Why the model compounds
Our costs follow intelligence. Headcount doesn't drive them.
A traditional service provider adds people as it adds customers, so its margins stay flat. A software vendor sells the tool and leaves you to run it. Human Managed does the operating, but agents carry the work that used to scale with headcount. Every outcome we run makes the next one cheaper to deliver, and we pass that on: customers pay less as their services mature.
Bootstrapped and profitable.

Change the box.
We reframe a problem before we solve it. The first question on any task: should a person or an agent do this at all?

What one knows, all can use.
We write things down so a colleague or an agent can use them. You can see how every piece of intelligence was produced.
